The Carlyle Group Names Rory Macmillan Principal and Director of External Affairs for Europe, Middle East and Africa

London, UK – Global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group today announced that Rory Macmillan will join the firm as Principal and Director of External Affairs for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Macmillan comes to Carlyle from Nike Corporation, where he was the Director of Government and Public Affairs for EMEA. He begins his duties in August and will be based in London, UK. David Marchick, Managing Director and Global Head of External Affairs, said, “We are delighted to welcome Rory to Carlyle. Mr. Macmillan has been an active member in numerous prominent business organizations, including the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU, the WEF Global Affairs Council on Trade Policy, the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry, of which he is Vice-President, and the Brand Equity Alliance, which he founded.
