AppWorx Corporation And UC4 Software To Merge; Application Automation and Job Scheduling Vendors Join Forces to Apply New Focus on End-to-End Process Management Challenges

Bellevue, WA and Wolfsgraben, Austria - AppWorx Corporation and UC4 Software GmbH, today announced the signing of a definitive agreement to merge their organizations. The company, to be known as UC4 Software, will be the first truly global and independent provider of IT process automation and optimization solutions. The merger is anticipated to close within weeks. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.


UC4 provides enterprise job scheduling and data center automation through efficient management, monitoring and control of high volume workloads. AppWorx provides event-driven business application automation and batch integration technology that drives new levels of business process optimization. Their combination will create a global software company dedicated to helping businesses achieve new agility through innovative IT process automation and optimization solutions.


The combined entity of UC4 Software has over 1500 enterprise customers worldwide including Cadbury Schweppes, eBay, General Electric, New York Stock Exchange, Panasonic, Sun Microsystems and Symantec. With over 250 employees and offices across Europe, the United States and Australia, UC4 Software will be headquartered in Wolfsgraben, Austria.


Franz Beranek, founder and President of UC4 Software GmbH, will lead the new company as chief executive officer. Bill Wrenn, founder and chief executive officer of AppWorx Corporation, will take on the role of President of UC4 Software, Inc. and oversee all operations in the Americas and Asia Pacific.
