The Carlyle Group, Investcorp Technology Ventures, ABS Ventures and Norsk Vekst Announce Sale of Trema

London - The four largest shareholders in Trema, The Carlyle Group, Investcorp, ABS Ventures and Norks Vekst announced today the sale of Trema to Wall Street Systems, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Carlyle Group first invested in Trema through its Carlyle Europe Venture Partners (CEVP) fund in 2002. This exit represents the fifth successful exit from the fund over the past two years. CEVP sold Egencia, the online business travel service, in 2004 to IAC/InteractiveCorp, Apama, the real-time analytics software company to Progress Software in April 2005, Inmedia, the media transmission and broadcast company to Arqiva in July 2005, and Orthogon Systems, the fixed wireless equipment provider to Motorola in April 2006.
